“We had a great time at The Lodge. It has an amazing location with the beach just a short walk away. The beach itself is quiet, family friendly and brilliant for paddle boarding, something my 9 year old son has just discovered. We also loved the walk to Charlestown. The house itself is clean, well equipped and Martin was very responsive. All in all a brilliant holiday, thank you very much.”

“We have had a wonderful week at Porthpean Lodge. The house was very comfortable and in a picturesque location. We loved walking to the beach to swim and go rockpooling and the cafe was great too. We walked on the Coastal Path to Charlestown and had ice cream at the harbour. Other highlights included a visit to the Eden Project and a river cruise and dinner in beautiful Fowey. All three generations staying there had a great time and we hope to come back.”

“We had a lovely stay at The Lodge. We were 5 adults and a baby and had plenty of space and everything we could need for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the cream tea and the games! There is lots to do in the local area and great walking along the coastal path which is only a short walk from the house. We visited St Austell Brewery, Mevagissy, Charlestown and Fowey and had a good days walking to the pub in Pentawyn.”

Wi-Fi and Netflix service is a bonus and less than five minutes walk to the sea. With a teenager and a seven year old - everyone was happy! “We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge - comfortable, clean and charming. We were 4 adults staying with plenty of space - especially thanks to the 2 separate seating areas and multiple bathrooms. The additional bunk bed room would be great for kids. The location of the cottage is fantastic with the beach just around the corner and Charlestown with its cafes and pubs a very pretty 20min cliff top walk away. Martin was a very generous host - he even gave us a guided tour of the gardens of his family’s beautiful adjoining property - Porthpean House. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!”

We loved the stylish space, the high quality bed linen, the big kitchen table perfect for family feasts and listening to the sea crash on the shore at night, all set in the pretty grounds of Porthpean House. Fabulous.”

“The Lodge is wonderful. Such a lovely house, the location is perfect and the host was very welcoming. The decor is all brand new. There are two really nice sitting rooms (WiFi and the tv has Netflix), a well equipped modern kitchen with dining table, and a wet room on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms upstairs, one with ensuite, plus a family bathroom. The location is very close to a nice beach (five minutes walk, even with children in tow) and you can walk to Charlestown along the cliff top path in 20 minutes. Also, it is only 20 minutes drive from Fowey and other top spots. We were given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home. All in all, we would recommend The Lodge to anyone. We were a family of four and it was perfect for us.”
