We had such an incredible week assisted by the weather and enjoyed so many aspects of the house and gardens as well as the proximity to the beach for some bracing morning swims. June 2019
Spending the week here with my family, 23 of us in total so we also booked the Lodge. Both places are fab. The house is rambling and old fashioned, easy to get lost! While perhaps in need of a little updating (especially the bathrooms), it is very comfortable and perfect for our big family gathering. The garden is also great. We've been playing croquet, boules, and badminton, and have also hired a hot tub! The beach is a 5 minute walk, and although not the most lovely beach, it is so nice to be able to go for a quick dip every morning! The view from the house &garden is amazing, really love it, and the SW Coastal Path literally goes right by the house. All in all, we are very happy (very!), and highly recommend the Big Beautiful Beach House. July 2019

A Wonderful house to enjoy our 30th year of walking holidays. Total Agreement - the best house ever. The views are stunning and it has been great being able to amble the coastal paths.
We had a wonderful time at the Big Beautiful Beach house. Lots of food,fun laughter and drinks. Beautiful coastal walks and even a swim in the sea! Thank you very much!

Beautiful house and perfect for games of 'sardines'. We had a fantastic long weekend celebrating ten years since we started at university. Amazing grounds and view, and so many lovely rooms! A beautiful part of the world as well. Excellent facilities ( including the most well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you can imagine) with an epic library of books that sadly we didn't have time to read.

It has been an honour to have had your first house hire wedding here at the Big Beautiful Beach House. Rosie and I had the perfect day with perfect weather, in the perfect setting with the perfect house. All of our family and friends had the best time and it is the best start to our marriage and it all worked out better than we could have wished. We have so enjoyed our family holiday in this gracious home filled with memories of those who have lived here. We have celebrated two wedding anniversaries, three birthdays and an engagement so we have many beautiful memories to treasure: We watched the sun rise every morning over Gribben Head and the moon at night. A bonus was the night of the blood moon. Each ‘super’ high tide we walked to the beach to watch the waves crashing in. This was an amazing week at this beautiful house and gardens. Having now learnt to play croquet. We will always have fond memories of our stay with the whole family and many friends on Dave’s Saturday birthday.
